I'm kind of just sitting here, and a random thought pops into my head. It's not quite an epiphany, but you can say it was a sudden realization of some sort. There's still so much I need to learn in life. When my mom tells me to go watch her cook or do something around the house, I always tell her that I have _____ years left to learn before I'm off by myself. I still remember when I used to say, man I have 5 years to learn how to do this stuff mom, leave me alone! Then I'd go back to watching television. Now it's three more years to learn how to survive out in the real world, or college at the very least. If you take into consideration the time I spend on school, it probably leaves the months of summer for me to do anything. So lets see, three years, three summers composed of about 3 months each. Three times three is nine. That makes roughly nine months for me to learn something that I will most definitely use when I get out of the house. Then of course, you have to take into consideration that I will be going to China for a month sometime in the three years, so thats 8 months. Probably a month off to do the reading required for the three years. 7 months. Thats only a little more than half a year.

I hate to think that I tried to grow up when I should have just had fun with stuff. I remember in 5th grade, damn, we tried to act so tough. Gosh we were such asses. And now that I will be an incoming sophomore I think that the little freshmen will be immature, which means I was probably stupid as hell in the past year. I'm really scared of what's going to happen in the years to come; in the world around me, but more selfishly-- my world.

I really do hope that I can keep the promise of trying at everything regardless of whether or not I actually want to do it. Wish me luck. It's been a while since I had a post about anything remotely close to feelings eh?
