Yesterday, I stopped by the Art Bistro on the corner of 33rd and Geary because I wanted something sweet for lunch. It's a really nice cozy little cafe with plenty of light and interesting decorations all around. Their prices are incredibly reasonable! Or maybe I'm just so used to Zephyr's freaking expensive ass prices.. Well a sandwich is like $3.95 or less, so that sounds pretty good, right? I bought a slice of Caramel Apple pie because I've just been pie crazy this week. Shit, it was goooood. The piece was like 1/6 of a regular pie for $2.50, so I was very pleased for such a tastey piece of pie for such a reasonable price. Shittttt. It was so good. The lady heated it up for me and put some whipped cream on top. It looked so damn delicious that I practically ran home to eat it.

But that's not that memorable or anything. Pie is pie.

The lady at the Art Bistro saw the Wonbin pin on my backpack and asked me who he was. Then she asked me if I was gay because I have that little gay flag pin on my backpack. That's the first time I've ever been asked about that flag. haha. The thing is, she didn't ask out of disgust or anything, it was like straight up out of curiousity. She said she has a lot of gay friends, and was just wondering if I was gay. I said no, I'm not and she said okay, and that was that. The fact that it was so casual made me feel kind of happy. No judgement, just curiousity. I think she was one of the owners there. I might just go back there more often. Service there is a million times better than Zephyr.

My grandma peeled grapes for me, but she didn't take out the seeds. o_O;; Why would you peel the skin but not take out the seeds? Why didn't she just take out the seeds instead of peeling the skins? Or better yet, why didn't she just leave it alone and not waste her own time? It's quite laborious to peel grapes..

Today is my mother's birthday, AND it's mother's day.

That cafe sounds awesome!

$3.95 is a really good deal for a sandwich; when I stopped at a AM/PM on my way back from San Diego during Spring Break, their nasty cold cut sandwiches cost $5.95 each! Their hot dogs were 79 cents each, so the sandwich prices were ridiculous in comparison.

(I didn't buy either.)

I didn't know you could peel grapes. o_O;;
