Today was an EXCELLENT day. I seriously hadn't had such a fun day in a LONG ass time. And if you'll belive it, it's because Jon, Lona, and I volunteered with some program called Rescue Mission. Oodles of fun :D Okay, so the day started off with me waking up late and rushing to get ready and go to Lona's house. When I got there, Jon wasn't there yet so I just sat around her house and got a semi-tour. I like her house. :D Jon finally came and picked us up. We got there about half an hour early, so we just wandered around getting junk food and stuff. Jon had to chug an Arizona Iced Tea because we had no hands to hold it while we worked. Our shift finally came, so we went down to the youth room thing and separated the toys by age group. Then we brought it all up and separated them some more stuff. And FINALLY we were allowed to pass out toys to the kids! When we gave this little girl a tea set, she just smiled so big and that pretty much made it all worth it. Some of the other kids got "shittier" gifts, and I feel kind of bad about that.. But at least they got something!! The toys they were giving out were all really cool though. It's just that some were cooler than others. We ended our toys thing at around 2:45 almost 3 I guess, so Lone, Me and Jon asked if there was anything else we could do. We carried meals to this hotel to give people meals. No people, it was like a regular hotel, and I'll leave it at that. We knocked on EVERY door, well except for this one with a sign... and gave them a meal and the group leader guy Del said a prayer for them. And THAT's when I found out that this was a church thing! Haha, I thought it was just a non-religious organization, not like it really matters to me though. Anyway, after we finished that, we helped move chairs and finally got picked up by Lona's uncle. He took me and Jon to 37th and Geary so we went down to Balboa to eat. We really wanted Americana, but it wasn't open!! We settled for SP or SF Cafe or something. I ordered my usual noodle thing and then we headed off to Safeway for no reason. haha. We took pictures at Safeway because we're dorks. :D It was a GREAT day. I'm totally going back to volunteer at rescue mission some other times!
