Don't you find music's healing abilities intriguing? There have been so many bus rides home from school these past two years where I blasted my music to ignore the rest of the world. Music is like a person. When listening to a bunch of sappy music, it has the ability to make you feel sad and like a loser, but other times, when you listen to the perfect song to fit your mood, you feel rejuvenated. The best kind of music is the kind that you can listen to over and over again without understanding any of the lyrics because it means that it's really about the music.

I feel bad for people who don't abuse their music players as much as I do. My cd player as rechargable batteries, and it's safe to say that I've already used my cd player enough to get my moneys worth. It's my freaking baby.

It's nothing new, but I feel pretty shitty today. I just blasted some music, and now I feel better. I owe my life to you.

My entries seem to be getting shorter. I no longer have the ability to write long descriptive entries.

I finally got around to looking up the Precalc book we'll be using next year, and damn it's not easy to find old text books. The price range of a Foerster book is also very inconsistent. There was a new book selling for about 10 bucks at half.com whereas the book was being sold at 35 bucks on eBay. I wish I had a credit card because I always miss out on the deals when I have to wait for my brothers to approve of the item I wish to purchase. Those asscracks.

I took a trip to the library about an hour ago in search of Chinese books for my mom and I to read together. Since there are no SAT II Chinese work books that I'm aware of, I figure I'll just have to read stories to build my Chinese vocabulary. At first, I went directly to the adult Chinese section in hopes of finding an interesting novel. It was discouraging to discover that I couldn't read more than five titles in Chinese. I slumped on over to the Children's section of the library and realized that my Chinese abilities aren't even good enough to read children's books. I chose books based on their covers because I got desperate. I borrowed three books: a Chinese/English picture dictionary, a cute story with a pig on the cover, and Charlie Brown comics with both Chinese and English. I have a feeling those three books will take me a few weeks to finish reading. -_- It'll be worth it though. 800 (score on the SAT II Chinese) here I come!

I borrowed a copy of the Japanese edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone last week. I couldn't even read the first sentence without looking up a couple of words! Even though it's defintely going to be a challenge, I'm motivated to keep trying because I love Harry Potter! Maybe after you're done with these books, you could try to find a Chinese edition of Harry Potter to try. My mom read the first one! =)
