I've always believed that people who constantly claim that they have favorite this and favorite that were phony and only lying to themselves because it's SO hard to have one thing that you like the most out of everything. But more recently, I feel like those people are the confident ones. They're the ones that are bold enough to say that they have a favorite. I can't say I have a best friend; I'm not bold enough to do that. The way I see it, if I claim that someone is my best friend, then I lose them as a friend, my judgement was completely wrong and it would be a slap in the face. Pessimistic I guess, but I think it's good justification...

I always need competition or something on the line to motivate me to work. If there weren't grades to compare levels of success, I probably wouldn't care at all. I'm not intrinsically motivated. Being in Kwong's class this semester with geniuses like Susan really made me work hard in that class. The result? Our psych group worked tirelessly on our report and we got an A. You have no idea how sweet that moment felt. I nearly jumped off my seat as I turned to high-five Karen, who by-the-way wrote an awesome analysis that probably secured our A in the first place.

Math has never been my strong subject and I really resent the fact that I'm "supposed to be good at it." Numbers and symbols don't do anything for me. I would arguge that there's not much to visualize in math, but there are graphic representations. Even so, it's really hard for me to remember graphs. Words have so much more meaning to me.

Tyrone asked me what my "best subject" is in school. I really really wanted to give a solid answer to his question, but I don't have a best subject. I suck equally in all subjects unless I work hard. And I don't work equally hard in all my clases because I some teachers aren't worth my effort. But I really have to give it up for Schwarz for being so insanely hard and critical as to make me work hard consistantly throughout the year. wEeeeeeeeee. Ended the year with an A on a final project. I just hope that means I have an A in the class. AHHHhhh

I think that sleeping in pants is really uncomfortable. I forgot how liberating it feels to wear basketball shorts to sleep. Well, it's not that liberating, but it's nice to feel my soft sheets against my skin.

I don't know why I really like that Death Cab for Cutie song, Soul Meets Body.

OKAY this is ridiculous. I'm just NOT studying for Precalc when I know I'm going to fail.
