When I wrote that, I did not realize how it would come off. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to spread the wonderful message of your religion, it's just that you shouldn't bother sometimes. A lot of people won't be swayed, and in the end it just creates uncomfortable situations. Unless you can guarantee that no one's feelings will be hurt, you might want to refrain from preaching.

---------------

I've decided that I hate it when people preach about their religion without being asked to. Unless you're being attacked, questioned, or asked to, you should not bother getting worked up over such matters. No matter what you say, you probably won't sway someone with an angry defense of your religion. The same goes for most other things. I'm going to try to keep that in mind next time I want to burst out yelling out to "school" people about equality. I don't like conflicting ideals.. I'd rather never bring them up

It's kind of sad, but in order to keep your friends, you need to put your beliefs second sometimes. I do it. In fact, I'm sure we all do it unintentionally. Don't we all just have the need to be liked and accepted by everyone? Whats actually more important though? Friends or beliefs? You're lying if you say you're one hundred percent sure of which is more important. I bet you first thought about how close you are to the friend.

hey look, i just preached. -_- why is it inevitable?

I agree that we all want to be accepted by others, especially those we consider to be our "friends." Somehow, you always manage to capture my internal conflicts concisely in your entries. Your writing always helps to bring me back to reality when my mind begins to drift too far.

Thanks.
