I just realized that I really don't have much of an opinion about anything anymore. While I feel like I don't have much of a voice, I also feel like I've matured into a person who can listen to all sides of the story with genuine interest, something most people my age can't seem to do.
I had a good past three weeks with my cousin in town for the first two weeks to bum around with. It really sucks to not have family to hang out with in the city. Friends are cool, but with family, you can act beastly and still have faith that they will love you when the day is over.
Gov't is the best class I've taken at Lowell. Next is probably ceramics. I think the best classes are always the most hard work and both those classes require a lot of energy if you want to really get something out of it.
Right now, Nigeria is struggling to determine who their next president will be. Though the election results are out, outside oberservers believe that the elections were too corrupt this time around and a new election needs to be conducted in order for the new government to have legitimacy. Kids always say that history is boring because it doesn't concern us or have anything to do with our time. Well, Nigeria is making history now, and people STILL aren't interested.
Isn't it kind of exciting though? We learned about all the military coups in Nigeria, and I think it's so cool that we're probably going to live through another millitary coup if the elections thing get out of hand! haha iono. I was talking to this girl in my class about starting a pool going on how long it would take for the military to take over Nigeria...
