You know what, I've been focusing on academia way too much in this thing. It's getting old. Lets try to move on shall we.
It just hit me today that my birthday is coming up. The big one-seven. There really isn't anything special about turning seventeen besides legally going into rated-R movies. That's actually quite a relief because my friends and I used to ask random people to get us into rated-R movies. Those were the days. A brief story: we were trying to get into some movie and there's this black dude in front of us. We ask him to take us into the movie, and he's pretty much like, "uh okay.." But he asked us for some sort of story to tell the ticket collector, and apparently, we were his church group going to watch some obscene rated-R movie. My story-telling skills are nonexistent because I assure you that the situation was hilarious.
I'm definitely looking forward to turning 18 more than anything because I get to vote. I'm not implying that I've been dying to vote, but I'd like to think that getting the vote would compel me to read the newspaper or at least TRY to keep up with local and national politics. It's embarrassing when Schwarz connects something historical to something happening today and I have no idea what he's talking about.
I'm thinking that when I turn eighteen, I'll want to try smoking. Or maybe by that time, I won't want to try it because I have the freedom to... Actually I wouldn't. So many cancers are caused by the crap they put in there.. Yeah, I won't.
In case I forget, I am not going to do a major officer position in Chinese Club next year. Unless they need me, I probably won't be an officer at all. Okay? Please remind me. Without Chinese Club, I think there would be a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Yay. GSA 4 life though. lolszxxxx -_- Ms. Blinick will be back next year, so I think I'll learn to love GSA as I once did.
I seriously have so many outdated things in my room. There are dried flowers, FROM MIDDLE SCHOOL, posters from freshman year, pictures from summer two years ago, and a bunch of stuff that has already lost its importance in my mind. The thing is, I don't think I have much to save from this year. I guess I can save my outlines as a testament to all my hard work, but I can also look down at my middle finger which is not permanently deformed from excessive outlining. I call it outlining finger (creative, no?) I might just be me, but I swear there's less feeling on my outlining finger than on the middle finger on my left hand.
By the way, allergy season is upon us once again and OMG my eyes are still stinging at this very moment. Tears BURN, especially tears from yawning. Oh damn.
I found a pack of 3x5 posits in my parents room, so I stole it. :) I feel kinda happy, but I can't even remember why I wanted those damn posits in the first place! haha
Douglas calls me the office supply connoisseur. hahah. At the end of this year, I want to get Schwarz a tie and a durian tapioca (muhahahaha). Better right that down, too.
I have to wake up at 6:30, so I better sleep. I hate the rain, the sound is so distracting!
