No Day But TODAY!
I can't believe I used to blog every single day. What kind of stuff did I talk about? These days, I feel as though there just isn't enough time. It's not exactly that I need more time to get things done, because I've been on top of things lately, but after I wake up, it feels like the day is already over. I have a love-hate relationship with school. On the one hand, I honestly enjoy learning, but on the other hand, I'm so sick of the person I've become since the school year started. I try to make school my number one priority, but I also realize that I can't do that since I'm not invincible. In fact, I'm probably the weakest, both physically and mentally, person I know. When I walk down the hall way after pulling an almost-all-nighter, people comment on how pale I look. If I'm too tired to converse with other people in class, someone always asks "what the hell is wrong with you today?" I need sleep. It's probably the most precious thing to me and if I could buy time in order to sleep more, I would gladly sell all my material possessions to pay for it.
Depressed is never the right word to describe the way I feel. I have too many great things going for me to ever be depressed, but school is taking a toll on my happiness. Sleep is crucial to my happiness, I realize that now. I guess I just feel a little incomplete because I can't balance all my friendships with my school work. Strangely enough, however, my relationship with my parents are better than I ever would have thought possible. I'm really lucky to have a dad who drives me everywhere and a mom that cooks me every meal without any complaints. Most kids want to get away from their parents after high school, but I think I'd be worse off without mine.
I don't think life is too short, but the time alloted for each "stage" of your life is. Your childhood is too short. Your teenage years are too short. 75% of your life is considered your adult life. Wtf? that means for 75% of your life, you have to be responsible and careful and worry about money and mortgages and probably raising a child and teaching a child and the list just never ends.
This slightly new blogger interface is hella tripping me out. I can't blog in this kind of THING!
I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
Oh, and I finished my personal statements. GO ME. I'm going to fill in the application tonight and be done with the UC application. hehehehe.
Go away melancholy! I'm a happy person.
