Growing Up
Whether I wanted to or not, I was forced to grow up a lot this past year. Even minor things like driving to San Jose for my internship really impacted my life and changed my perspective on what I hope to gain my future. Something as seemingly minor as the location of my internship for the summer caused a series of events that were out of my control and really tested my ability to cope with change.
I'm still very uncomfortable with the idea that I can't control everything in my life that matters to me. To some extent, I cannot fully understand why my life has unfolded the way it has, and that lack of understanding has caused me many sleepless nights.
But uncertainty is part of growing up. I don't have the capacity to understand every single thing in life, and I shouldn't be so bothered by the fact that I can't do it all or have it all. All I can do is be happy with what is in front of me, and try my hardest to make the best out of a shitty situation.
