How many of you can say that you wouldn't change for the person you liked or loved? As I've probably mentioned in a previous entry, we played a game called "How High Would You Bounce" in English class. In a nutshell, the game is about how far you would go to get the attention and/or love of the person you believe to be the love of your life.

The first question was if you would go out and buy a shirt in a color that you abosolutely despise and look hideous in just because the object of your affection loves the color. Hathwell, used some color called heliotrope, which, if I recall correctly, is a rather distasteful shade of lavender. You're all lying if you said that you would't wear something to attract his or her attention.

The game went as far as, would you be willing to break up a marriage of two years? Then if you would still break up the marriage if they have a one year old baby. I drew the line at two years of marriage. I wouldn't want to be a home wrecker. Even if the world falls apart and I end up being one, I wouldn't want to plan ahead to become one.

So tonight, Jon said to me, "It's hard to say no to the person you like." That statement holds too much truth. I remember, last summer, that we had to read a World Lit By Fire for AP Euro summer reading. I believe it was the weekend before school started, and I was barely one hundred pages into the book. I decide to take a break from reading by signing online and Gary IMs me saying he's bored and wants to go out. I immediately forget about the book, and ended up hanging out with him that afternoon. It turns out that I never read another page of that book because I thought it would be a lost cause. Was it worthy sacrafice? I'd have to say yes because that was the last time I saw him in person.

Tonight, I sacraficed my final's studying time to help someone with their own final tomorrow. As a result, I lost an hour of studying time. This time, it didn't feel so good, but it was worth it. To see this person all happy because they aced their final is going to be worth it.

I will bounce as high as gravity allows.
