Group Projects SUCK
I really hate doing group projects. I feel that working with other people brings out the bitchy side of me. I hate compromising with people especially when I feel that their ideas are merely lame attempts to do less work. When I work with other people, I also rely on them and try to do less work than everyone else. It's either that, or I assume all responsibility and just do the entire project myself. There has never been a time where I successfully worked with other people on a project. Someone always did more work and there was always that feeling of "why the hell did I have to do this?".
I hate how group projects are always worth so much. It's freaking outrageous. Do teachers realize that the distribution of work is hardly ever fair? How can you give everyone the same grade if you know people didn't do the same amount of work?
In Chinese class, we have partnered dialogues where both members receive the same grade. What the fuck is that? I remember my first dialogue of that class. My groupmate and I went up to Mrs. Ong and she told us our grades along with the pronunciation errors we had. ALL THE ERRORS WERE MY GROUPMATE'S! Shit I was pretty pissed because I knew my shit, but she did not. I don't like to rely on people for that kind of shit.
When it comes down to it, no one cares about another person's grade. That holds true for me, too. It's more important that I get that A, not my groupmate, so I'm willing to do work to get the A. If I already know that my A in the class is secure, I wouldn't try as hard in a group project.
Damn this selfish world. Lowell really reduces you into a selfish grade-whore.
