Random Thoughts # 1

I'm going to start to keep track of the number of "random thoughts" posts I have. This will be the first one.

I really just FEEL like writing. I don't have anything in particular in mind, but I just want to bang away at my keyboard. I've been thinking lately about how I gave up two wonderful musical instruments. Okay, I haven't actually thought about it until this very moment, but it sounds better when I start a sentence that way. In any case, I don't understand why I love giving up on things when they're hard. Does it seem like I'm the quitter type? Because I think I quit a lot. Or at least I did in the past. I like to threaten to quit things because I know that it's the only way to get people to do more work. I quit things that seem pointless to me at the time, but when I look back at the situation, I usually regret it and realize that life didn't get any better just because I quit doing something that I thought was pointless at the time.

It really does drive me insane to be by myself for too long, but it's also one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. Kind of a paradox eh. Too much of a good thing sucks.

I'm sort of proud to say that I got absolutely nothing accomplished this weekend. I had plans to do homework and maybe even read a book, but I did neither of those things. I unexpectedly slept more than I ever could have wished for. Once I get a certain amount of sleep, I continue to crave for more. Lately, I've been getting more than 10 hours of sleep total each night, but I still want more. That results in wasting my day away by sleeping and staying up until 1 am tossing and turning in my bed.

I've made it a habit to sleep with a heating pad these days. It's kind of a waste of electricity, but thankgoodness it automatically turns off after like 30 minutes. The nicest feeling is to hop into bed and feel the warm, soft cotton sheets against your body. Well, I only feel it against my feet because I sleep with clothes on..

It's going to be tough going back to school tomorrow. My hand isn't used to notetaking, which I'm sure we'll have plently of tomorrow.

I'm having thanksgiving dinner tonight because my whole family did something else for thanksgiving this year. Great, it'll be easier to do homework after a food coma!

Time to get back to homework.

Well, while we're being random. I hate chrysanthemum tea. Or the one I'm drinking right now. It's not sweet. It's not sour. It's not bitter. It's not salty. But like, it's the most horrifying mix of all those flavors. And my mom's making me drink it. :[

I only like to be completely alone when I'm like reading...or working on a layout. Or writing. Something creative or something.

I wish I had a heating pad. I crawled into bed last night and it took a long time to fall asleep because it was freezing.
