This week felt like a century. It was only four actual days of schooling, but it has been one of the most taxing weeks of this year. Not only was I on my period, but the weather has been shitty, and I've been reacting negatively to all my schedule and class changes. I'm thankful that it's finally over, and that I was picked up by my dad and asked if I wanted a tapioca stop before we went home. :]
The only good thing that comes out of misery is that you notice the small things that bring a smile to your face.
I've been really tired lately. I guess more mentally than physically, but the combination is pretty shitty. A lot of people are turning over new leafs (is it leaves in this context?) along with the new semester, but I feel like I'm not even able to pick up from where we left off in the previous semester. My body was somehow fooled into thinking that the year was over and it's taking a lot of time for me to get back on track.
Schwarz's class is really bothering me. I miss my old class. I miss my old seat. There are a lot of new smart people in my class and I don't know how I'm going to compete with them on the quizes this semester. Everyone seems to participate and they're stealing any opportunities for me to speak out and get my damn participation points. The only slight advantage I have this year is the fact that Schwarz knows me and probably doesn't hate me. For some reason, my class is really rowdy this semseter, and that part bothers me, too. The way I see it, the more time we spend laughing, the less material Schwarz can get through in one class period, and the more we have to rely on our own reading from Bailey. I think it's clear by now that I have an almost obsession with Schwarz's class, and I know it's insane, but I feel less special because it seems like everyone is in his class now! Now there won't be any Schwarz stories to tell because they're already in his class! o_O;;
Psych is really fun right now because I sit with a bunch of old classmates and Kwong seems to like us more because we chose her class again, but the material we're learning kind of makes me want to pull my hair out. It's very interesting to learn about motivation and our emotions, but it's scary as hell to analyze yourself and realize your faults. So far, by taking mini tests, I learned that I am very very afraid of change, and that because I'm the youngest child, I'm probably not very high achieving. I'm not saying I buy into any of this because there are obviously exceptions, but knowing these trends might make me change my ways and become part of the stereotype. I conform easily to suggestions.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but my second semester classmates always suck more than my first semester classmates. o_O;; Maybe I just don't want to go and make the effort to get to know new people when I feel like I just got to know a few new people.
My new obsession = notebooks! I really think spiral bound perforated notebooks are the shits.
I constantly crave sushi. -_-
You know what's really scary? APUSH is so different now. We don't know what our quizes will be on in advance. o_O;; AHHHH.
