After a long, very emotional talk with my mom last night, we both came to the conclusion that my expectations for my friends, family, and just humans in general, are too high.

What am I supposed to do? Lower my expectations?

Just because I do something for someone, doesn't mean I should expect that same kind of regard in return? It sucks to know that.

It all just comes down to the fact that there are SO many people in this world who aren't willing to sacrifice themselves and put their own shit aside to help their friends. If my friend really needs something and I have to ask my brother, okay I'll call up my brother and bug the shit out of him even though he hates when I do that because ultimately, all that matters is that I'm able to help my friend. I don't understand why people are SO scared to ask people or "bother" other people for help. Get real. In this world with a population of billions of people, how can you not get some help from someone else? No man is a fucking island, so stop pretending like it is. You help someone, they help you, they help you, they help you, and maybe you can finally repay them for all the crap they've done for you by helping them on some huge thing.

Every single thing you do has consequences. Why do people act as though their actions have no impact on anyone but themselves? So fucking selfish.

Grow some balls and do something you don't want to do in order to help someone else. Put your crap aside. Sacrifice yourself for once in your selfish ass existence.
