Can't trust this... duh nuh nuh nuh
Yeah I know I'm lame. =P
Recently, I've realized one of my main problems in college is trust. When I was in high school, it was easier to know everyone or at least hear stories about people you meet in your grade. If someone is being fake, you can probably figure it out really early on. However, there's no way to meet people in college and know immediately that they are trustworthy. That begs the question how do you know you can trust someone?
That's the thing. I can't. Even when I'm hanging out with an old friend again, I have my doubts about his intentions and his sincerity. It's a little scary to think about.
People change a lot in a year. Can you trust a friend after a year of distance? Not sure.
Yet I have no reservations getting free food from strangers today at AIDS walk. True, it was packaged, but I didn't even think twice. Man. Funny how the mind works.
Should I let my guard down for this rekindling?
