Back to 8th grade again
As I get older, I notice how hard it is to reach out to other people during the times when I'm just down or need some cheering up. In what I perceive as the adult world, sadness and stumbles, no matter how common and understandable, just seem so trivial to bother others with. When I'm sad, which has been a lot lately, unfortunately, I just try to bury it and hope it passes. But with the stress from midterms, problems with G, and the terrible weather creeping up on me, I am just a mess.
I had trouble sleeping last night, so I snoozed all my alarms this morning and miss my branch shift. I feel guilty that one of my friends covered for me, but at least it's a reminder that I do indeed have some wonderful friends who care a lot about me.
Taking it back to the 8th grade these days with the no-appetite and coffee consumption. I don't really want to eat, but I need something to soak up the caffeine that keeps me through the day.
Why is life like this again? I'm supposed to be happy after finally accomplishing so many of my goals. Instead, I am sulking, letting myself get distracted, and possibly ruining all I've worked for by not studying for finance and HR management.
I feel like I'm regressing back to the 8th grade again where nothing made sense.
