Instead of boring you guys with the mundane details of my life, today, I will talk about males constantly bitching about being nice guys.

A day or two ago, my friend Adam reposted an article called "An Ode to Nice Guys." Michael Kim posted the same article a while back, and I have to say that I think the article is completely pointless. Come on, if you're really nice, why would you have any problems with the results of your personality? It's obvious that you're not genuinely nice if you expect something in return!!! Also, nice girls finish last, too. Girls listen to their best guy friends bitch about their girlfriends. We help you guys pick out birthday presents for your significant other as well as all this other crap even though deep down, we're burning with jealousy. And in my case, I sit there and listen to guys obsess about the hot girls they see around them. It's the same concept as the nice guy theory. Nice girls never get the guys of their dreams either. That's life. It's a bitch. CHYEAahh

When I was younger, it was easier for me to have close platonic guy friends. I still have some really tight guy friends now, but the amount has decreased slightly since highschool started. But then again, it probably correlates to the decreasing number of real friends in general. But I've noticed that instead of befriending males for purely friendship purposes, I always give the guy potential for a while before I decide that he can only be a friend. Before I just typed that out, I didn't even know I did that. It's subconcious I guess.

haha. I just remembered that I had a perfect guy list back when I was a middle schooler. Let me think what that list is comprised of...
1. Has his own goals and motivations
2. Likes me more than I like him at first.
3. Talks to me regularly/has time for me.
4. His appearance doesn't embarass me or make me feel uncomfortable.
5. Speaks Cantonese with me.
6. (optional) Has a car and is willing to drive me home in Richmond.
I kept it simple. Back in the day, I had those details down to their hair color and gpa. Wtf was I thinking? In the past three years I've liked two guys seriously. None of them even fulfilled the list I had above. I wonder why I make these lists but never like the guys that fill the requirements. It's ironic really.

Jon, we should have a wager on how long I will like him.

Yeah the guy who wrote "An Ode to Nice Guys" was probably ugly and/or had a lot of girl problems. But it's hard being nice sometimes. And don't laugh you know i'm freaking nice. Oh yeah. There's no such thing as a nice girl.
