The Five People You Meet in Heaven

I caved in and called up Norm at 12:37 am and talked to him for 44 minutes and 9 seconds. I didn't memorize that or anything, I just checked my phone.

It was just so long since we talked that the conversation was long. I actually got tired so when I heard him yawn, I got rid of him instead of the other way around. That was probably the best part. Talking to him kind of reaffirmed why I missed him in the first place... whatever that means. Basically it has been established that he's going to need to call me instead of the other way around because I don't like to bother him. We'll see how that goes.

After getting off the phone, I read The Five People You Meet In Heaven for about an hour, then fell asleep. This morning, I woke up around 10:30, surprisingly refreshed. I tried to get back to sleep, but instead, I replayed the conversations I had during that day in my head. I then grew tired of reflection and finished off the book I've been reading. The overall message of the book is wonderful and not corny or cheesy at all. As you can probably tell by the title, it's about the journey a man takes after death. This man believed that he lived a worthless life, but through his journey through meeting five people in heaven, he discovers the meaning of his life and why he was not worthless at all. It's really an optimistic book, but the way Mitch Albom wrote it made it seem believeable. The middle of the book was actually better than the ending. There are some quotes from the book that scream self-help/inspirational and I really want to find them and post them up, except I'm too lazy. Just read it and find out.

I finished the book and then went outside to the kitchen to make myself my first meal of the day. I had "dong gua tong" with rice and veggies. I had a lot of that kind of "tong" in China, so it was really nice to have some back in the states. Drinking that "tong" makes my stomach feel good about eating. haha. After that Edward called me up for a while and I talked to him for a bit. We always have long ass conversations! -_- It's freaking great, but such a waste of time since we both always have shitloads of homework! Afterwards, I think I fell in and out of conciousness until about 5:30. I wasn't actually sleepy. I just had nothing better to do so I figured I'd sleep and make up for the lost hours during the week.
