Nike Marathon '05

Here are some words to sum up my day so far (even though it feels like the day should end because I've been awake for so long):
Kelley, Andrew, and I waking Eliza. Taro baos wasted. FREE BAGELS, suspicious cream cheese. Patrol officer buys me White Mocha! Arbitrary, cumbersome, speedos, thinking of China to get warm, moving gates to let cars in. Hyatt: "high-at" or "HEEE OT!" Sweeping remaints of flares. Rolling water bottles. Jog to keep warm. Tino will help me get a job at the Hyatt.

The day started off with me falling asleep five times before I had to get up to leave to go to Eliza's to meet up Kelley, and Andrew. Eliza didn't wake up, so we went without her. She got a ride from her mom later. At Union Square, we got FREE bagels in the check in area. It was kind of nasty and hard... but we ate it because it was free! There was a finger indentation in the cream cheese that Andrew used. EWW. OH OH. When we walked into the tent to check in, Kelley was like.. "Is it bad that everything is kind of blurry right now?" haha Lack of sleep !

Andrew, Leslie, and I were located at Sutter and Stockon! There, we were supposed to help move the gates that were blocking off the streets to designated people. One of the officers there bought me a white mocha frap! SCORE. It wasn't cold at first.. but as the sun rose, wind seemed to come with it. It was DAMN cold by the time we left.

During the volunteering we directed like less than 5 people total. haha. But we did make ourselves useful by helping to move gates and sweeping up the remaints from the emergency flares! That shit like sticks to the ground! We had to kick it off and sweep. Apparently, I have horrible sweeping technique! -_-

At around 8, we were FRREEEEEEE. I took the bus home with Leslie Cheung, FOR FREE! haha. It's a shame that we didn't get free stuff at the place though. :(

Still a pretty fun day.. for me at least.

I heard volunteers didn't get free stuff this year because they were paying us more. Haha. xP I would rather get free stuff - INSTANT GRATIFICATION.
