I don't think people ever think about peer pressure when it comes to not drinking, or not smoking. I don't advocate excess of both those acts, but I think that drinking is fine in moderation. But I realized lately that a lot of the time, I want to drink but do not because I don't want people to label me as a bad person or whatever. Depending on who I hang out with, I have to be concious of my actions. I think everyone is like that though. When you're with certain people, your brain automatically accomodates to the surrounding environment. In a sense, I'm never able to be myself all the time. Does that make sense?
Jon sent me an email today saying that he checked his AIM history, and he and I haven't talked since 18 days ago. I guess I'll let you decide what school has done to my life.
I feel guilty when I don't do my homework. At this point of exhaustion, it's not even about getting good grades anymore, I just can't face my teacher if I know I haven't made an honest effort on homework assignments. Furthermore, I feel really anxious when I don't understand what's going on in class because I didn't finish homework.
My eye sight has been degenerating more rapidly than before. I have to wear my glasses around school all the time or else I get a headache from squinting. I really want to wear my contacts more, but it's hard to wear them for more than 5 hours in the dusty school environment.
Psych class is getting interesting. We're learning about sleep cycles, stages of conciousness, and how those two are associated with memory. I'm dreading these topics because I don't want to know how much I'm killing my body through sleep deprivation.
I've been eating a lot since it's my pms week. I feel like a pig. Plus I gained back all that weight I lost in China. Damn my stupid irregular meals and incessant snacking.
